Bangor Jersey Mike’s Opening Day Wednesday Morning

“Take me for a sandwich, take me for a grand opening.” Sung to the tune of Take me out to the ballgame.

Jersey Mike’s has over two thousand locations across the country, with more opening weekly. Today, Bangor has our turn.

The Jersey Mike sign outside the location has been in place for months and construction is ongoing inside. Now they are ready.

Doors open today at 10 a.m.

Mike from Jersey is at 479 Stillwater Avenue, and is 3rd Maine location for the New Jersey-based company. The others are in Windham and Brunswick.

Today will also be a special day for William S. Cohen Middle School located in Bangor. All Jersey Mike’s sales today will be donated to the school.

The owner of this Jersey Mike’s, Austin Whetsel, told WABI TV

You want to let Bangor know that we are here, part of the community, and believe in the community mindset.

Not only are we going to donate opening day sales for all sales, but we’re going to double it. So if we sell $10,000 worth of submarine sandwiches, we’ll give $20,000 to William S Cohen

Opening day is always exciting. It will also be memorable with special meaning for the Cohen school.
