NFL player threw up after eating Eminem’s “mom’s spaghetti”

Cincinnati Bengals goalie Jackson Carman “wouldn’t recommend” meal at rapper’s restaurant in Detroit

Eminem launched his Mom’s Spaghetti restaurant in Detroit late last month, and in an unfortunate irony, an NFL player lived up to the MC’s words by throwing up the establishment’s flagship food.

In yesterday’s football game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Detroit Tigers, Bengals goalie Jackson Carman unexpectedly left the field in the third quarter of play. His team announced his departure was due to a “disease” which left its return questionable.

Fans have speculated Carman’s departure was linked to COVID-19, having just dropped off the NFL’s COVID reserve list two days before Sunday’s game.

However, Carman would later confirm that a certain rap star’s pre-game meal left him with sweaty palms, weak knees and heavy arms, writing on Twitter: “I wouldn’t recommend eating spaghetti from mom when you visit Detroit. ”

A number of Carman’s Twitter followers had suggested Mom’s Spaghetti as a suggested restaurant when the Bengals player asked the day before the game, “What Detroit is known for its food.” A Detroit-style pizza – or pizza from Windsor, just across the border – would have been a safer choice.

Next February, Eminem will play NFL Super Bowl LVI halftime with Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige and Snoop Dogg in Los Angeles. Hope he leaves the pasta at home.
